The Dance Academy opened in 2005 near South Hill Mall and new ownership was in place and a new facility built near Canyon Road and 112^th street by 2009. We offer a beautiful facility featuring five studios with ballet bars and full mirrored walls. Spacious waiting rooms, picture windows for viewing, and plenty of seating in waiting areas make it the perfect place for parents and kids. Other features of our studio include: dressing rooms, two handicapped accessible bathrooms, a costume loft, a prop shop, and a dance boutique! Our students can enjoy a snack and finish homework in our dancers lounge! Little brothers and sisters can watch a movie on the big screen and play with toys and read books in our largest seating area!

All studios have microphone systems, CD and IPOD capability, and state of the art speakers systems. Our largest studios (4 and 5) have big screens for dancers to review their routines.

Two of our studios are grand in scale to insure the best instructional setting and enjoyment for our older dancers and larger classes as well as offering the perfect place for showcasing TEAM routines and having all academy rehearsals to prep for recitals.

Our tumbling classes feature professional grade gymnastics mats and wedges for optimal safety and optimal growth in this discipline.

The Dance Academy is best known for its outstanding teachers! Teachers with professional degrees in dance and the performing arts with featured status in dance companies are what make your experience at our studio meaningful. Our teachers have achieved master teacher status and have a wealth of professional and competitive experience as dancers and performers.

Senior students receive exclusive job and performance opportunities through The Dance Academy. These are paid performance opportunities! In addition, students can learn to teach dance through our TA program. All students are given exclusive  performance opportunities on the best stages at the Washington State Fair and other venues as well as participating in amazing recitals and productions.

Our teachers are amazing, but the culture of our studio is second to none. We know your name, we answer your emails, and we keep you informed. We provide information in a timely manner and keep you apprised of important information by email and hard copy. Parents and kids are cherished and bonds are formed because we want your kids to become great dancers, but we strive to make their experience at the dance academy meaningful.
